Sri Jayachamarajendra College Of Engineering









                          Sri Jayachamarajendra College Of Engineering was established in the year 1963 under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeetha and founded by Jagadguru Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalu, the twenty third pontiff of Sri Suttur Mutt. The college is situated in the western part of Mysore city in a sprawling campus of 47.35 hectares. The college has been recognized by the Government of  India as one of the lead institutions in the state of Karnataka under the Technical Quality Improvement Programme - TEQIP, under the world bank assisted scheme and has released an amount of Rs. 20 crore to the college.

    A simply supported I beam with its web
    horizontal is shown in the given figure. It
    is subjected to a vertical load.What will be the shape of the shear stress distribution in the cross-section of the beam under the load.
    Max at NA or whether there will be sudden depression at NA.

  2. To Sir Dr S.K. Prasad
    When deisgning we go for designing a retaining wall .We have formula for minimum depth, and thus we go for depth. Now in this formula with lesser value of angle of friction depth required will be more. Whether there is alternative to this.
